Residential Septic System Replacement

- A replacement onsite wastewater system for a residential property in Plattsburgh, NY.

Enhanced Wastewater Treatment Units
Illustrative design application
West Shore Engineers provides design services for enhanced wastewater treatment units, such as Fuji Clean systems, for lakefront properties, small lots, and other sites with limited space or challenging site conditions.
These advanced systems provide a higher level of wastewater treatment than conventional septic tanks, reducing pollutants and helping protect groundwater, lakes, and other sensitive water resources.
Under New York State Appendix 75-A, qualifying enhanced treatment units may allow up to a 33% reduction in absorption trench length, providing additional design flexibility for properties where conventional septic systems may be difficult to accommodate. Eligibility depends on the absorption system type, applicable maintenance oversight requirements, and reviewing authority requirements; the reduction is not automatic.
Each system is designed to meet site-specific conditions, applicable regulatory requirements, and long-term water quality protection goals.
